Tokyo, September 6, 2025 – Pursuing Dream Team took part in WebX 2025, one of Asia’s most influential Web3 industry conferences, held in Tokyo this week. The event gathered leading enterprises, policymakers, investors, and innovators to chart the future of Web3 across Asia and the global digital economy.
Japan’s Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba opened the forum with a keynote address, emphasizing the strategic role of Web3 technologies in driving innovation and social reform. He highlighted the potential of blockchain, artificial intelligence, and digital platforms to address pressing challenges such as regional governance and Japan’s declining birthrate.
Ishiba pointed to Japan’s thriving startup ecosystem—expanding from 16,000 firms in 2021 to 26,000 in 2025—as a sign of accelerating innovation. He also cited international collaborations, including e-mobility battery swap projects in Kenya and Ethiopia, and domestic breakthroughs such as Ama Town in Shimane Prefecture, where blockchain platforms are enabling community-driven governance. The upcoming Osaka Expo was noted as another showcase of Japan’s Web3-powered digital transformation.

During the conference, Pursuing Dream Team shared its perspectives on inclusive growth models, sustainable applications, and the integration of blockchain into governance and social frameworks.
Team representative Julian Tan remarked:
“WebX 2025 highlights Asia’s growing leadership in the global Web3 landscape. Japan’s forward-looking combination of policy and digital innovation is truly inspiring. Pursuing Dream Team is committed to building bridges across borders—working with partners to create sustainable, inclusive solutions that connect technology, governance, and society.”
Following the event, Pursuing Dream Team members joined leading Japanese Web3 institutions for a group photo, symbolizing cross-border collaboration and a shared commitment to shaping the next chapter of the digital economy.
